Bayshore Park condominium renovation project by PLUS Interior Design – Tiling

This is another update on the Bayshore Park condominium renovation project. For this condominium, there will be many walls that will be reconstructed. The Interior Designer has basically reconfigure the internal of the apartment by tearing down old ones and rebuilding new walls.

From my photos, you might not be able to recognise any part of the house. Hopefully after all the walls are constructed, we will be identify the kitchen, living room and bedrooms.

There are many sizes of bricks or alternative like hollow blocks for building walls. The bricks shown above are the bigger bricks which can be use only in private property like condominium and landed houses. HDB does not allow the use of such big bricks for construction of wall for HDB flats. The benefit of using big bricks is that the wall will be thicker which makes the wall sound resistant. Therefore, if you are going to build any wall for your private property, do check with your ID which wall material he will be using.

Why some parts of the wall cannot be hacked?

You might be wondering why are some parts of the wall not hacked. The reason is because those walls are part of the structure which supports the building. A experienced ID should be able to identify SOME of these structures easily. This is also one of the ways to know if your ID is experienced or not.

How do the tilers built the wall?

Can you see the green strings in the above pictures? The tilers use the green strings as a guide for them to build their walls when they lay the bricks. This is to ensure that the bricks are laid properly and the wall will be straight.
